All of us at Thunder Meadow
invite you to try your skills at our licensed hunting
preserve in beautiful Albany County, New York. With us
you will enjoy hunting hundreds of acres of rolling
hills. Those who have made the visit in the past have
found some of the finest Pheasant, Quail and Partridge
hunting in the northeast.
We offer half day and exclusive hunts. We are open to the
public seven days a week, excluding certain holidays,
from September 1st thru March 31st. Reservations are
required. There is no deposit needed for regular hunts.
Please book your hunt early to assure dates and
availability of handlers and dogs.
We welcome children from the age of 12 when accompanied
by an adult. However, child must show proof of having
completed “Safety Firearms or Hunting Course”.
This is also required of adults who have never been a
licensed hunter.
Dogs are required on all hunts. We have dogs and handlers
available for an additional fee. Our dogs are among the
best you will ever hunt over.
If you plan to use your own dog we ask that you have
available a health certificate or proof of vaccination.
This will insure the health of our dogs, as well as the
dogs of other hunters.
We have a heated gun room complete with all the necessary
facilities for your comfort and convenience. Picnic areas
are also available. Over night accommodations are
available at many fine inns and motels nearby that cater
to hunters.
